Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Henry" is a sweet 4-yo neutered male GSD mix who is a great mix of mellow and active. Henry is as friendly as they come. He is a people dog, and wags his tail at the sight of you. He will cuddle with you and let you pet him for hours. If you stop petting him, he'll remind you to keep going with a gentle push of his head under your hand! Henry gets along great with other dogs and plays happily at the dog park. He does have a strong prey drive and likes to chase after squirrels and toys, so it’s unlikely he’ll be good with cats. Henry is sleek and muscular, weighing approx 65 lbs.
Henry is a very well-behaved dog and great in the house. He is an active dog outside and a coach potato inside. He even seems to enjoy watching TV! Henry can be left home alone inside for a full work day with no problem. Henry loves playing fetch and running outside. He can run seemingly forever without tiring and would do great in a home with joggers. He also runs well alongside a bike. Henry also loves go for rides in the car.
GSRSV rescued Henry from the Merced County Shelter on 10-22-14. Poor Henry had been at the shelter since August 12--over two months! It's a testament to Henry's great temperament that the shelter kept him that long--he was reportedly a staff favorite. Henry is in a foster home in Davis, where he's been since 10-24-14.
