Mazie's Story...
Mazie was quite the matted mess when she was rescued but boy look at this little beauty now! She is a very sweet, lovable little girl at about 1.5 years old. She looks like a lap dog but don't be fooled by those short legs, Mazie will run for miles along side a bike, loves to swim and enjoys long hikes She is quite the adventurer for a half pint! She also enjoys playing with the other dogs at her foster families house so a home with other dogs would be ideal. She would do best with an active person or family. She needs a bit of help with her potty training but she is very smart and will catch on quick with consistency. Her adoption fee is $125 and you can apply to adopt her at or email for more information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mazie, a Houston Cairn Terrier/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Lhasa Apso for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
