Shaker and Cole's Story...
Shaker (pictures 1, 2 & 3) and Cole (picture 4; see separate listing) are two 8-year old brothers who would very much like to be adopted together. Both are neutered males. They have been together their whole lives. Unfortunately, their owner had to move back in with other family members and can no longer keep these 2 sweet boys. Shaker is a low-key, friendly boy eagerly awaiting a new, loving home. His brother Cole is a little timid at first but both are very friendly and would love a lap or 2 to share. They have lived with children and dogs previously. Both are current on their vaccines, deworming, and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. A great, cool team of cats! Please consider meeting them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shaker and Cole, a Fairfax Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
