Rosie's Story...
Hi my name is Rosie. I am a small mixed breed who was found on the streets of Mexico with my mum and siblings. I am 14 weeks old now, a whopping 13lbs and am enjoying my new life in Canada where I live with my step brothers and sisters.
I sleep in my crate all night, door open or closed though sometimes I get to be in the big bed and snuggle with my foster mum and dad. I can get a little upset when I am left in my crate during the day but settle down quickly if I have my bone or kong to keep my busy. I just have to get used to feeling safe on my own.

I love going for car rides and meeting new people who all tell me how beautiful I am. I am working very hard at my housetraining and my foster mum says am doing great, watching and learning from my foster siblings. I really enjoy the treats I get when I do my business outside.

I love playing with my toys and play fighting with my foster brother and sisters. They are bigger than me but I am very brave and I give as good as I get. I am not shy and love to run around the house at full speed!
I am looking for a loving family who will nurture and care for me and help me grow into the beautiful doggie that I know I will be. I don’t mind if I am the only pet but would also love a playmate. My foster mum says I am a very special little girl and that it will be a very lucky family who gets to take me home.

Rosie is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue. Her adoption fee is $375. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm tested as part of their adoption. Please fill out an application at our website You can also reach us by email at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Cambridge Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Cambridge, or seeking a Collie puppy from a breeder in Cambridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cambridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cambridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cambridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
