Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is SHERMAN. I know it is a funny name for a dog, especially since it means preparer of cloth; a tailor. But if you ask my foster family, they think I am a cut above the rest. But they may be a little bias. They said that when God made me, he had the perfect pattern. I am just an incredibly gentle and well mannered dog. I am not sure how my life took such a bad stitch that I ended up in a high kill shelter in Southern Indiana. Thank goodness, the shelter workers realized what a model citizen I am! Rover Rescue was notified and was on pins and needles until they heard I was on a transport north. What a sigh of relief to know that I am now safe and sound in my loving temporary home! I am an adorable Boxer mix who is just one year old. But I don't act like a crazed canine who is bursting through the seams. I am very content just to watch the other dogs in the house romp and play. I would rather snuggle, keep you warm, and take a nap with you. I am a ideal size weighing in around 25 pounds. I would be an awesome fit for just about any family. I have been introduced to people of the younger generation and those a little more worn out, and they both suit me fine. I have been told that I would need very little alterations. I am housebroken and crate trained. I have yet to bark, but may whine to let you know that I would prefer to be with you than in my crate. If you "sew" want to fall in love, please call Peggy at 815-756-3719. Tell her you have the notion to meet me, SHERMAN. My adoption fee is $200 and includes current vetting and a certificate for a free microchip.
