My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HUBBA-HUBBA!
Here comes BUBBA! Hey, how’s it goin’? My name is HubbaBubba, but my friends call me “Bubba.” And my foster mom can call me anything that she wants, especially around meal time! I sure do love my food and I eat it all up like the good boy that I am! After all, I just turned 2 years old in October, so I am a growing boy and I need my grub! I am a healthy young fellow, for sure, and I am pretty big for a bulldog . . . all 74 supery-dupery handsome lbs. of ME!

I admit that I’m a handful … but a HANDSOME handful, as anyone can see! I am a big boy with a BIG “personality” – a little too big for the average household, which is why I've bounced around a bit looking for the very lucky family where I will “fit in” just right and who will help me feel at home!

With all of the moving around I've done lately, who can blame me for being a little grouchy about certain things – like my toys. I REALLY like TOYS!!! I mean, I know it isn't nice to growl, but I’ve been in so many homes in my short life that I wanna protect the few things I get to have these days. But my foster folks understand that I need a lot of patience, so they’re working with me on this and I’m getting better.

Also, sometimes I get extra excited, like when a visitor stops in, and when that happens, I might look for something to, well, uh, hump. Yes, that’s right. I said “hump!” Now mind you, I don’t hump on people, just objects … and only if I get worked up. I don’t see what the big deal is, but I hear that it isn't exactly, um, polite. No sweat, though, ‘cuz my foster folks are working with me on this, too.

So, I am not 100% perfect – more like 99.99% perfect! On the positive side, I am totally housebroken. I walk super-nice on a leash. Plus, I am really smart. I come to you when you call me. I know how to “sit” and “lay down” and I will give you not just one paw, but TWO PAWS – one at a time, though!

So those are my most excellent features … and let’s not forget the icing on the cake: my supernaturally good looks! You can see for yourself that I am NOT exaggerating!

Oh, I forgot to mention my hind end – yes, ladies, I mean my most adorable “asset” if you will pardon the pun: my tail . . . or the lack thereof. I do have a tail, but it is what you call an “inverted tail” and it causes me some discomfort. It is under a skin fold, so it can get icky and raw. It needs to be cleaned, but when it is sore, I can’t help trying to stop anybody from cleaning it. Luckily, CEBR is consulting with my vet – I call him “my own personal physician” – on what will be the best way to take care of it.

All in all, I am a super-duper good boy and I am astoundingly handsome. Let’s be honest – I belong on the cover of a magazine! That’s how goodlookin’ I am, folks! But because of my size and strength, and those little quirks I mentioned above, the CEBR folks feel I would do best in a bulldog-savvy home.
