My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MILO is a cute little guy – a 1-1/2 year-old tan and white Beagle/Terrier mix, and weighs 27 lbs. Milo has such beautiful almond-shaped eyes that look trimmed with black eyeliner, and is unbelievably adorable! He is so friendly and sweet, and he loves all people, great with kids, dogs and cats too. Milo is crate trained and housebroken. It’s almost impossible to miss Milo’s signal when he has “to go” – he will do his jumping circle dance at the door until you get there to let him out. He is also learning to ring the hanging bells on the door for a signal too, so it’s pretty easy to know when it’s “his time”! Milo has had a busy time so far here at his foster home, besides having the adult dogs of the household, there is still half a litter of Puggle puppies here which are also up for adoption – he is trying to figure them out and at times figures he is much safer hopping up to safety onto the couch rather than be trampled by the running posse of tiny 6 lb. puppies!

Milo is one of those little dogs that just wants to please his people. He always comes when called and usually he'll pop up with a Nylabone hanging from the side of his mouth like a cigar, as if he's saying to me - "Hey, whadda-u want? I'm busy chewin' my bone!" He looks forward to being involved in all aspects of family life here at his foster home. Milo is such a dear, and is very well-behaved, but any dog can get cabin fever easily during the winter months, so a fenced back yard would be a big plus for Milo so he can run off his puppy steam and tire himself out using good energy. He doesn’t chew anything except his bones, and he likes chasing balls, but doesn’t always bring them back - instead he touches the ball with his nose, then runs back to me -kind of like touch football"! He follows the other dogs around the back yard, and looks up to them as role models. He has gotten very attached to my big male flat-coated retriever and will run circles around him, then stops to instigate play, then continues running around him in a circle! Milo is also very gentle with the resident kitties, and would be a very nice choice for a family with young children as he is very gentle, doesn’t nip or chase, and would love playing with them – he’s all about fitting in and just needs a family to love him and let him love you.

Milo is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and comes with free micro-chipping and registration. Milo’s adoption fee is $200 (cash or check). If you would like to learn more about Milo and find out if he is a good match for your family, please contact his foster Mom Debbie at 630-272-1109 or email at coachdebbi@aol.com
