Hello! My name is Ayla and I am a gorgeous Alexandrine Parakeet. Some people say I can’t be a parakeet because they think of the little budgies when they hear the word parakeet and I am definitely not a budgie, but my species is in the parakeet family. I am about 5 years old and the veterinarian says that I am in great health. I love people and will sit on your shoulder all day long, I will make sure to give you a thorough ear, eyebrow, and face preening. I don’t mind being around other animals, but I am definitely human focused. I also love to eat! I enjoy a diet with a healthy mix of pellets, fresh veggies, some fruit, and healthy nuts. I LOVE chop and my favorite food is sweet potatoes. I also love to play with my shredding toys the best and I love the basket of toys my Foster Mom keeps on the bottom of my cage, I like to go down there to root around and see what I can find. I would love it if you would come and meet me so that I can find a home of my own. Please come soon!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
