Kovu's Story...
Hello, my name is Kovu, I am pleased to meet you. I am a 3.5 month old black neutered young male black Domestic Short Hair. I was brought to the shelter because my mother was a stray and had me and my sister at a very nice person's house. Unfortunately, the people were unable to keep me with me and siblings so they brought us to the shelter. So here I am, seeking the one thing every kitten wants and needs. A warm and loving home. I know I am just a little guy but it would be so great to move into my new place with you and never have to be cold or hungry again! I really like to play with toys and then after we are done I would really like to nap in your lap. The nice people here at the shelter say that I am always a pretty happy guy. I am always purring and kneading. I am always happy to talk about whatever fun facts we come up with. All of my siblings have already found their happily ever after so I really hope I don't have to wait too long until that same thing comes true for me. I hope to see you soon so we can begin our lives together ASAP!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kovu, a Murphysboro Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
