Sky's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.

Sky's Story...
Meet Sky! He's a 5 year old Australian Shepherd. He was surrendered to the shelter by his owner because she could no longer care for him. So now he's here looking for a forever home. Sky is up to date on shots, neutered, and has a microchip. He's also housebroken! Sky gets along with some other dogs, but needs a home without cats and young kids. His favorite things to do are playing fetch and cuddling. Sky can be a bit shy at first, but it doesn't take too long for him to warm up to new people.

Do you have room in your house and heart for a dog like Sky? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sky, a Youngwood Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
