My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Stanley. I'm about 1 1/2 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs.
I was picked up by the pound because I was running at large. They had an invisible fence collar on me but it wasn't keeping me contained. My collar was probably not working or maybe the fence itself was broken, but the pound had been getting complaints on me for months and months. I was just a stray that my owners had found. They did license me and were trying to keep me but they just weren't doing what they needed to do to keep me at home. After the pound went to my owner's house to inform them that I was here at the pound they ended up surrendering me.
I am a very sweet and loving boy with all of the people I have met here at the pound.
I get along well with most other dogs. I would not do well with a dominant male, but I seem to do well with female dogs and male dogs that are not dominant. I seem to be a pretty playful fellow.I played with a dog here named Rummy, who is a male lab mix about my size, and I did really well with him.
I seem to be possibly housebroken. I don't have accidents in my kennel at night here at the pound and my old owner said I didn't mess in their house when they would let me inside either.
If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me!!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

I am going to get fixed and vetted on December 11, 2014 and I will not return to the shelter until December 19, 2014. I will be available for meet and greet/ adoption anytime after 12 pm (noon) on December 19, 2014 when I return.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER DECEMBER 1, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
