Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful dog is approx 3 yrs old and 18 lbs. He was just a stray that one of our fosters found running in her subdivision. No one claimed him, and he was not micro chipped – but he is now !! We think he is a Parti Schnauzer. They are an unusual breed and we do not see very many of them. They have an interesting history that you can google. They were basically white schnauzers bred with black schnauzers and they have that pretty colored coat. Reggie is white with silver and gray. He is a very quiet and well behaved dog. He gets along with all of the other rescues, but is not one for running and playing. He just hangs out with them. He seems to be more of people dog. He has a really sweet disposition, does well on a leash and seems to be pretty well house trained. He has been treated for heartworms and has been started on a monthly heart worm preventative. He would probably do better in a household with older children as he is so quiet. He does not like to be left out alone, and should be watched carefully when outside as he just wants to be with his family.
The total adoption cost of $425 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport ($225), spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a pre paid registration($200). The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.
