~ABOUT ME~
This sweet girl is Mama Dolly. She was rescued from a kill shelter with her 10 newborn babies. Her pups have found their forever homes and now it's her turn. Unfortunately, she is heartworm positive and has been undergoing treatment the last several weeks. Once she is heartworm free, she will be spayed and officially up for adoption.
Prior to starting treatment, she was wonderful with dogs of all sizes. However, with treatment she has gotten more selective with doggy friends (we believe it is pain related and she will be reevaluated once she is heartworm free). She absolutely LOVES people. Sometimes she thinks she is a lap dog, and like snuggling on the couch with her foster parents. She has to stay calm for treatment, but she loves stuffed toys. She will toss them in the air and catch them for hours! Her favorite treat is frozen femur bones. She is learning to like peanut butter again...it was the only way to get her to take her medicine so she learned to distrust it! Despite her big size, she is very gentle and is awesome on a leash. No pulling what-so-ever. She is very playful and silly. She wants very badly to run and play, but for now will settle for short walks and calm activities. She likes snuggling under the covers and is very affectionate. She is fully potty trained and is crate trained, but she prefers being loose. She has no issues with chewing (except toys) and is trusted to remain uncrated for the most part. She knows basic commands, but tends to get too excited with the attention to remember them. Overall, she is a sweet girl who will do well in most homes.
