Mokie - Sheppard/Collie Mix
Hello,
My name is Mokie and I am 2 and half years old. I will be three years old in August. I have been living with my mom since I was a pup but now she says I can't come with her as she is moving where there are two big aggressive dogs that might hurt me.
People say that I am a sweet and friendly dog but that I am little too submissive with other dogs and let them bully me too much. I do have dog friends however that I really enjoy playing with and even have no problem sharing my food bowl. I think it is because I lived with just my mom and it's usually pretty quiet with just the two of us that even when I first meet people I tend to be shy. It doesn't take me long however and then I want you to play.
At home I was used to being left alone all day on my own for about 9 hours and I have never caused any trouble. I like to lie on the couch and look out the window but I don't bark unless someone comes to the door. When people hear me bark they think I am a much bigger dog with my deep voice but really I weigh only 39 lbs. When my mom comes home I get very excited and do my little dance for her. In the house I am well behaved and I do listen and know all my basic commands. Outside I love to go to the off leash park where I can run around and be silly. I would really enjoy going for more walks as I sometimes stare out the window because I am bored. I am used to living with cats but sometimes I want to play with them so if you have cats I hope they like me.
I would really like a home with a fenced yard to play in and older kids that would enjoy being out there with me would be great. A family that likes to go camping and do other outdoor activities would be great and as you can see in my picture I love the water.
I am a gentle dog who loves to snuggle and I can tell you that if you take me home I will be a great companion, and we could find lots of things to do together.
