Beckham's Story...
Meet Beckham, a young great Dane and Black Lab mix. He is a large dog weighing around a 110 lbs. He is a very sweet goofy dog that is friendly with people, older children and other dogs. He has had some training, knows sit, down, stay and he rides well in the car. We would like a committment from his new owners to complete a basic obedience class with him. He shows too much interest in cats and small animals to be able to live with them. He's a great dog and his foster home will be very sad to see him go. But they are excited to find a great home for this once homeless animal. Beckham is current on all his shots, has been microchiped and altered. My adoption fee is 150.00$ If you are interested in adopting this wonderful dog, please fill out our "I'm interested""form or phone our dog coordinator at 503-695-3352 evenings and weekends.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beckham, a Portland Great Dane/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Dane/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
