Kira's Story...
Meet Kira! She is a beautiful, 2 year old, 30 lb., tricolor – tan/cream/black Alaskan Klei Kai (Miniature Husky). This dog has an A+ personality. In the short time that she has been in rescue she has attended public events as a goodwill ambassador for 3R. Kira loves to play, be petted and meet new people including children. She is crate trained, house trained and gets along with cats. She was sadly surrendered from her owner whose like change could not include her. Her owner took excellent care of her and she was clearly loved. Kira is a great companion and will be a wonderful addition to your family.

She’s spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org or phone 707-529-4643.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kira, a Winters Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Winters, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Winters.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winters already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winters breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winters paves the way for another one to be saved.
