My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trooper came by his name honestly. We pulled him from a shelter in western Kansas. Trooper was a stray who had been turned into the shelter when he was found with FIVE bullet holes in him! The shelter vet anesthetized him, cleaned his wounds then started him on antibiotics and pain medicine. When we agreed to take him, we were told that he was a 'shelter favorite'. I can see why. This sweet boy is not holding a grudge for his ill treatment but is happy and friendly to people and other dogs. We think that Trooper is 1 - 2 years old and he weighs 11 pounds. He has completely recovered from his ordeal but does retain one bullet in his little body. It could not be removed and is causing no problems. We think he would be a terrific family dog. Trooper is neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventive, is well wormed, is microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. His adoption fee is $200.
