Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Abby, an eleven year old sheltie with a tremendously young spirit. She loves to be with her people, and is game to do whatever it is they are doing. She really enjoys the river in any weather, and at the off-leash park, she is sure she can keep up with the big kids.

Abby is very well socialized, but she does expect others to have good manners and to respect her personal space. She is reserved with new people but very friendly when she gets to know you. In her foster home, she sleeps on her own bed at the foot of the humans' bed, and she has a favourite dog bed in the living room that she nabs whenever it's free. She loves attention and skritches, but isn't too demanding. She really enjoys just hanging out with the gang, snoozing in front of the TV. Abby likes to herd everybody from time to time, to patrol the perimeter of the yard, and to bark once when she goes out, just to let the world know she's on the way.

Abby is in very good health, especially since her dental surgery, and she's been feeling so good she's even been playing with her one year old foster sister. She continues to shed her excess weight and is happy and feisty. She knows her basic commands and a few tricks, and she probably knows quite a few more that she hasn't revealed! She's very smart, and would love to learn more from her new family. Abby would do well with older children, and another pet or two - she might like her personal space, but she doesn't like to be alone too much. Abby would love to keep you company in almost everything you do!
