Teddy's Story...
Meet Teddy a 3 yr old Pug/Shitzu X. Teddy has grown up with seniors, so he is used to the quiet life. He is a bit shy, but has really come out of his shell since arriving in foster care . Teddy is crate trained, loves to go for walks, and gets along well with the two smaller dogs in the home. He is a bit leery of the Great Dane, so a home with no super sized dog would be great. He loves nothing more then to curl up for cuddles and a good bellyrub!! Teddy is a bit of a clown and will be sure to keep you smiling!! Teddy has not been around young children, but would likely do better in a home with older kids or adults, as they grew up in a quiet environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Saskatoon Shih Tzu/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Pug for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Pug dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Pug breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
