Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Callie. I'm 3 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs. My mom was a purebred bloodhound and my dad was a lab. I look more like a lab and my sister Cammie looks more like a bloodhound.
I was surrendered to the pound by my owner, along with my sister Cammie. He moved here from out of state, but moved to the city and we were barking too much.
I used to be an inside dog. My mom and sister stayed outside in a kennel. After my mom died, my owner said my sister was very sad and lonely living outside in the kennel all by herself so he put me outside to live too so I could keep her company. Because I have been outside for a while, I may need to have a little bit of retraining, but I should catch on to your schedule pretty fast 'cause I'm a pretty smart girl.
I should do well with being crated until I adjust to my new home because I am used to being kept in the kennel.
I'm a little shy at first, but I am a very sweet girl and I warm up to new people pretty fast.
I do like to go for walks and I do love time in the office.
I have gotten along well with the other dogs I have met here at the pound and I share a kennel with my sister here because we get along well together as well.
If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me!
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER NOVEMBER 22, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
