Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DAKOTA is a 3 month old intact black male Lab who weighs 19 pounds. Dakota is a very sweet and smart puppy who is doing very well with his crate training and sleeping through the night. He has learned "sit" in just a few short days with his foster and loves playing with his foster brothers. Someone adopted him from a friend whose black lab mom had puppies (daddy unknown) and found they could not keep him so turned over to a rescuer who called us. He is approved for kids of all ages. More info soon!
Raising a puppy can be very rewarding but also very demanding pursuit. Puppy adopters need to ensure that the puppy:
• has a potty/social interaction break every three or four hours until 6 months old to ensure house training success.
• goes to a formal training program when the puppy is six months old in addition to in-home training efforts.
• gets plenty of daily play time and walks.
• has regular interaction with kids, adults and other dogs to ensure positive socialization.
• gets the vaccinations as per the Lab Rescue Puppy Protocol and other care as recommended by their vet.
• is spayed/neutered as required by six months of age.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has between 50 ~ 80 dogs available for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a house check is required.
