Chester Cadbury, Duke of the East's Story...
Well we finally have this outstanding boy! He is a 3 year old long haired black and tan gentleman! He is currently neutered and up to date on shots, but he will be treated for heartworm right away, since his blood panel came back positive. He is the best dog! He is a gentleman and listens and knows his commands. He will sit when you tell him to, PLUS he is already completely housebroken. Obviously he was loved and trained before. We aren't sure what happened, but no one ever showed up at the shelter to get him. So now he is ours and could be yours, too! He likes other dogs, doesn't seem to care about cats, loves people, and handles a bath with class. He is 15 pounds right now, but will probably gain another pound with some love. He is a sold tweenie dachshund. If You love Chester Cadbury, Duke of the East, as much as we do, please visit www.sophiasgracefoundation.org and fill out our adoption application for him. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester Cadbury, Duke of the East, a Coatesville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Coatesville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Coatesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coatesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coatesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coatesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
