Crook's Info...

Crook's Story...
Crook (named because of his crooked little stubbed tail) is the sweetest little guy! He and his littermates and mom were found living under a bush and the person who found them was kind enough to take them in and foster them while they were still nursing. They are now 12 weeks old (as of 12/17/14) and have been spayed/neutered and are ready for their very own families! They are built like Dachshund's with the short little legs and long bodies! Very social and friendly and fully of puppy energy! If you are interested in adopting one of these adorable pups, visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org for an app or email us at goofyfootrescue@gmail.com. They are in foster care in West TN and will be transported once the adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crook, a Southington Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Southington, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
