Meet Gracie the gal who has never met a stranger! Gracie is a former big city girl who is really, really enjoying the space and quiet of suburban living. Gracie is an 8-10 year old Lhasa mix with a heart as big as all outdoors. Gracie meets everyone with the great enthusiasm; her tail goes a mile a minute while she says hello and shows you her beautiful smile. She was surrendered to the shelter because she had medical needs her family could not afford. Grace had a lump the size of a lemon hanging from her head and she also had a small hernia. The lump has been removed and the hernia repaired and Gracie is now looking forward to her next great adventure! Grace is blind but after a few hours in your home you sort of forget that fact because she gets around so well. She does require inexpensive drops twice a day. She hears very well and will run from the other side of the yard when you call her name. Grace does not walk very well on a leash yet but she is getting better every day, she does love and enjoy the freedom of running around in a fenced yard. Gracie’s very favorite thing to do is to sit beside you while you read a book or watch TV or alternately run around the yard playing hide and seek or playing with a stuffed toy.Grace loves company so she would really appreciate it if you worked from home or are retired. She weighs about 15lbs and is maybe 9 years old. Grace does fine with dogs of any size and ignores cats. She also does well with dog savvy children.
