Rebel's Story...
This unique looking boy with his one black eyebrow is Rebel, and he would love a home and family to call his own. He's an adult--maybe one or two- and he's a heeler/pointer mix we think. He's a bit shy too but really came out of his shell in the dog park. He did need some help walking on the leash--by help I mean he had to be carried--but it's all new to him so not his fault at all. He was quite affectionate and even gave me a shy little kiss.

Act quickly to adopt Rebel. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rebel, a Jacksonville Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
