My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Minnie!
Minnie is a playful, loving and curious dog. She is a one-year-old dalmatian/pit bull mix, weighs about 40-50 pounds and is up to date on shots.

This pretty girl is house-trained, knows "sit" and "shake," and is improving at walking on a leash! She was crated in her previous home when her family wasn't home -- she wasn't always fond of it, but she's a good girl and would rest nicely in there. She is a smart dog!

She is bound to bring joy, laughs and tears with her personality and character. She loves to play and would outdo the energizer bunny any day. Because Minnie's previous home wasn't able to spend enough time with her she needs a loving, patient forever home that will devote the time to continued training.

She loves to be outside, walking, running, jumping and sniffing everything and anything. If you are patient, loving, and have a yard, Minnie could be the girl for you. Her former owner says, "anybody who gets her will be a very lucky family, she is a good dog."

Minnie’s adoption fee is $100 and she’s located in Brookfield, WI. An approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
