THIS IS NUTMEG....a statuesque, grizzle colored, black masked, 18 lb, 6 yr old Lhasa Apso! Found at the Riverside Shelter at the Coachella Campus, this pup came out of the shelter about 5 lbs overweight! She was matted to the bone, had a horrible hot spot and a snaggle tooth that showed all of her personality through the filth! Nutmeg is a wonderful girl, easy going, happy, mellow and loves to cuddle. She will chase after toys, but always lets her foster sister roommate take the prize! She is a good eater and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body! She gives kisses once she knows you...and has the most soulful eyes you have ever seen! She does not like being left alone, so the best home for her would be one where she either has a low-key canine companion or her family is around a lot. She seems to be potty trained, but we never guarantee. All we can guarantee is this beautiful lady (her coat is gorgeous when it grows out) will love you to life, if you love her back. She deserves a forever home...can you give it to her?

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
