My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sheila-German Shepard female, ~2-3 yr. (Dec. 2014) (pic updated 1/5/15)

Sheila has a special place in the Rescues heart. This girl came into a high kill shelter, fully grown and weighing
30#! The pictures you see are a month later, and 16# heavier... still too thin, but making great progress.
We decided to start looking for a home for Sheila. At first we didn't know if she was sick or abused. Sheila was
whisked to the Vet's office for observation and there she learned to 'eat dog food' again. Sheila has probably
lived her life on a chain. She needs a new home that can commit to taking Sheila for lessons, as even walking
on a leash is new to her. She's a beautiful, loving, smart dog and should learn very quickly. She's crate trained
and now moved to a foster home, will be working on housetraining. Sheila will need a home without cats as
she seems to have a fascination with them, and not in a good way. Sheila's adoption fee is $300 to help
cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
