Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dock is an adult male Chihuahua mix. We believe he is between 2 and 4 years old. He looks like he may be mixed with dachshund as he has a long back and dachshund face. He weighs 13lbs. Dock came into a shelter in southern Indiana after he and his brothers (Hickory & Dickory) were abandoned by their owners. When Dock came up to Rover Rescue, it was discovered that at some point he had been shot with a BB gun. Dock had 3 pellets removed when he was neutered. Dock is potty trained. He can be trusted loose in the house at night and when I am gone for short periods of time. Dock gets along well with the other dogs in my house, but does not interact with them very much. Dock prefers to spend his time sitting on my lap and he does not like it when other dogs get too close to the "lap zone". He finds my cats a little too fascinating, and although he doesn't seem to want to hurt them, he does like to chase them. For this reason, it would probably be better that his forever home is one without cats. Dock loves to go for walks and jumps right in the car. He gets along well with everyone he's met. Dock will sound the alarm when he hears strange noises but otherwise he is pretty quiet. Due to his small size, I would not recommend that he be placed in a home with small children (under the age of 5). Dock is neutered, heartworm negative, and current on vaccines. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in learning more about Dock, please call his foster mom, Katie, at 630-947-2589.
