Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diamond is a jumper and must have 6 foot fencing
Diamond is a 1 1/2 year old black female with natural ears. If you have ever heard the saying that a diamond is a girl's best friend then you must have met Diamond's foster parents. They are teaching her how to be a proper lady. Diamond is very shy, but in no time we expect her to be like a shining gem in your hands. Diamond backs up and lays down when she gets scared. She prefers to come to you for pets rather than you go to her, until she gets to know and trust you. Diamond came to rescue quite a bit underweight, but she has been gaining nicely and only has about another five to ten pounds left to gain. She has recently discovered what blankets, toys and scheduled feedings are all about. She is a petite girl, but very beautiful. Diamond gets along well with her five canine brothers and sisters in her foster home. She looks to them for direction, and Diamond must be placed with another dog in her adoptive home. She is a fence jumper, so her adopter must have a 6 foot fence. Diamond is afraid of cars, but has been learning that leashes and car rides are ok as long as there is a treat involved. Her foster family has been working on her potty training. She occasionally has an accident, but is doing very well. She is crate trained, and once she is spayed, will be ready to find her forever home.
Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League can only adopt within its incorporated area (eastern NY, eastern PA, NJ, DE, WV, MD, and VA). For more information on our adoption policies please visit our website: www.magdrl.org To adopt a Great Dane under 2 you must have traditional fencing (no electronic fences permitted). For Danes over 2, please see our website for fencing policies.
