Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Garnet was found as a stray in December, 2014, and it seems she had been a stray for a while. Her health was so poor so another rescue group pulled her from an animal shelter and BHRG provided her medical treatment and a foster home. Garnet's age is a guess, her coat looks young but her white face and her arthritis has her leaning more towards 10-ish. When it is time for a meal or treats she dances around and barks like a puppy. Otherwise this little 35 pound basset is quiet. In the kitchen she is a speed bump sitting quietly behind you hoping that some food might hit the floor. She is not a counter surfer...too short! Garnet can be best decribed as "quirky". Her foster family calls her Boo-Boo because she is such a mess. She has a hole in the roof of her mouth so when she eats, she sneezes and sounds like she could use a tissue. She is housebroken, but not perfect and doggie door trained. When BHRG rescued her she could barely use one of her hind legs. She is still a little wobbly but she has super powers when it comes to the trash cans! We are thinking about setting up a camera in the garage just to see her in action as she knocks over huge trash cans. Recently she found a used container of blue icing and became a Blue Basset for a few days. It really was cute. Garnet-Boo-Boo is peri-diabetic so she is on W/D and needs to be checked periodically. She is great with little children and other dogs. If she could have a wish, it would be to live in a house without stairs. This quirky little 35 pound basset needs someone very special to love and care for her.
