My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Washington, but you can also call me the Commander-in-Chief of manners.

My owners dropped me off there before the holidays, which at a high kill shelter left me very little time to live. I was so frightened, and curled up shaking in my cage. Why did my family leave me here for Christmas? Are they coming back?
Peace for Pits saw me, and they were confused too… what is a good guy like me doing here? With a foster to boot I was free. My foster mom nursed me back to health and introduced me to a trainer. I already knew I was presidential material, but the trainer just needed to swear me in! Basic commands, tricks with the clicker, I love to strut my stuff. Crate trained, potty trained, and I always sleep through the night (everyone needs their beauty rest!)

My foster mom’s favorite thing about me is that I am a true gentleman. My fur foster brothers are smaller dogs, but I am so careful when we play because I love them and I’d never want to hurt anyone. My other siblings are kids of all ages and sizes, we cuddle and play together. I love fitting in with my foster family, and I promise to be a perfect family member to my forever too.
