Tiki's Story...
Hi, I'm Tiki! I'm a 9 month old greyhound mix. I was left tethered outside all day and night by my owners. When an animal control officer told them that they couldn't leave me outside, they told him that they didn't want me anymore. I was brought to The West Memphis Animal Shelter and that's when ALIVE Rescue Memphis came and rescued me.
I love playing ball and running around, but I'm a very relaxed dog inside the house. I get along great with other dogs but love people too. I have wonderful manners and I'm an amazing cuddle buddy. I can't wait to meet my forever family and know that I'm officially saved. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting me, please visit www.aliverescuememphis.org and complete the Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiki, a Memphis Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
