Simon's Story...
Meet Simon: He is a 3 year old, neutered male, Pit Bull type dog whom we transferred to our shelter from Hartford Pound when his time was up. Simon was placed in the summer of 2013 and lived with a family who adored him and he adored them and their other dog "Max". Unfortunately life happened and the family had to surrender both dogs when they lost their home. Max did find a new home however Simon is still here awaiting the right place to go. He is energetic, playful, friendly with most other dogs, and would be great with kids over 10 (only because of his activity level and size). He is fully house trained, loves to go for rides or hang out on the couch. Give us a call to set up a visit 860-428-4422

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Willington American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Willington, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Willington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Willington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Willington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Willington paves the way for another one to be saved.
