Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We call our sweet Lilly “The Little Flirt” because of her constant wink. Her foster mom gets asked often “what happened to Lilly’s eye?” Well, Lilly was injured when she was just a tiny pup by a larger dog and the best thing to ensure a pain free life, was to surgically correct it. She has no pain and this “wink” has given her more character than ever. Her past injury hasn’t taken one ounce of greatness out of this young lady!
Lilly was rescued right off of a street in Houston, Texas by one of the most compassionate people in this city. She scooped this abandoned 4 week old baby (estimated date of birth is March 1, 2012) and promised her that she would take great care of her. She’s had her as a foster ever since, but knows that Lilly’s forever family is out there just waiting for her.
Our best guess of her mix of breeds would be Basenji and Shepherd mix. She’s got cute, bouncy ears, a naturally short tail, a springy body around 40 pounds and a beautiful red coat. Other than her beauty, Lilly’s personality shines too. She adores children, other dogs, but tends to bark at cats! She will play with anyone she meets as she’s never met a stranger. She’s sweet, playful, fun-loving and active.
Lilly has lots of favorite activities, swimming, hiking, going to the dog park, goofing off with her dog and kid friends in the back yard and is willing to go on any adventures with her people. Lilly has graduated from the basic obedience class held by PetSmart and she enjoyed learning and attending classes.
Happy, affectionate, dog- friendly and ready to hop in your car and head home…that’s Lilly in a nutshell. The flirty girl needs a family to call her own. She will be an amazing addition to any active family that can spare some extra love. Her ideal new digs would have a doggy playmate for her to bond to, lots of attention and activity and the more people, the merrier in her opinion.
She is fully vetted (spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations). She is house and kennel trained. Lilly is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, but can be flown to your area via United Pet Safe. Her adoption fee (including flight, travel kennel, kennel bed, and health certification) is $450. An adoption contract and her adoption fee must be paid prior to her departure from Houston.
