My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SNICKERS is an absolutely adorable Min Pin/Chi mix male who was adopted a few months ago but his owner is now moving to a home in another state where dogs are not permitted so, through no fault of his own, Snickers needs to find a new forever home. He has a delightful, sweet personality and loves to snuggle with his human. He is affectionate and trusting. At only 7 to 8 pounds, he is very portable and will fit in most purses! He gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He is 8 years young and just a wonderful, small adult dog. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He required some vetting for a tooth infection and he was successfully treated for heartworm and he is doing just fine. He has had some teeth removed so he may prefer a softer diet but he will also manage to gnaw on a biscuit or harder treat. Snickers might try to shoot out a door in a heartbeat so a fenced yard would be helpful to keep him safe or make sure he is leashed before opening the door. He is house trained. He loves to sleep under the covers or on a nice comfy lap. He was in a foster home with cats and fit in just fine with the cats. His former foster said that Snickers is 'a lover and a cuddler' and the owner who must now give him up is crushed because Snickers is such a special dog. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Snickers if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care he has received.
