My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Rocco! He is a very handsome brindle & white English bulldog who is a little on the smaller side at 41 pounds. He came to BBR as an owner surrender due to divorce. When he came into our care he was a little thin and his ears, paws and facial folds were in need of some TLC. Since he has been in his foster home, Rocco is starting to put on some weight, and is looking and feeling much better!
Rocco is a fairly laid back dog who absolutely LOVES to be around his people! Rocco seems to be a bit partial to the man of the house, but will show the ladies some love too. He has not shown a whole lot of interest in toys, but he loves to chase a laser pointer dot… his favorite activity seems to be eating and hunting for stray kibbles. Rocco does not seem to mind getting bathed, or having his wrinkles cleaned. He enjoys walks and does well on a leash. Rocco will go in a crate, however he does not like to be in it while you are in the house (i.e. if you go to bed and he is in the crate)… he will bark for a while before settling down.
Rocco does have a history of chronic ear infections, so he does have some scarring in his ears. He will need DAILY care of his ears and folds; otherwise he will get red, infected and uncomfortable. Although he has very small ear canals due to the scarring, he does hear just fine. Rocco will also need to be continued on the same grain & poultry free food he’s been eating in his foster home; this food has helped greatly to keep the redness down on his paws and face.
Rocco does not get along with other dogs, inside or outside of his home. He will do best as the only dog in the home. Rocco does not seem to mind cats at all, and has done well around children; however children will need to be 5 years old and above since he is very food motivated - we would not want him snatching food from an unsuspecting toddler's hands. He is neutered, and up to date on his shots. Overall he is a pretty healthy boy.

Please consider opening up your heart and giving Rocco his loving furever home!
