Duchess's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Duchess's Story...
Our gorgeous Bloodhound momma Duchess is now ready for adoption! Beautiful Duchess is a purebred 90+ pound Bloodhound who was the mother to our Royal Bloodhound litter adopted out a few weeks ago. Duchess is housetrained, great with cats, kids, and dogs of all sizes (the resident shih tzu in her foster home runs the show!).

All of our dogs come fully up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and dewormed, as well as neutered, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and adoption process, please complete our adoption application here:

www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
You will receive an automated confirmation once your application is successfully submitted. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, a volunteer will give you a call ASAP. Please see our Facebook page for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person.
Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess, a Cincinnati Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
