UPDATE ON JESSE 2/13/15***CHECK OUT HIS NEW VIDEO*** SOLID
Just a few months ago Jesse was living in a neglectful situation and then he was surrendered to a shelter, where his life almost ended. His feet hadn’t been trimmed for at least a year; he was limping, underweight, dirty, and his teeth had been so neglected, he couldn’t chew his food properly. To quietly die at the shelter would have been a sad ending for a horse who’d probably spent most of his life serving people. But there was still a spark in his eye, even though he was in poor shape. We learned about Jesse and pulled him from the shelter the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Once the paperwork was signed, Jesse allowed himself to be lead right into the trailer as though he’d been waiting for it. Since then he’s had his teeth floated, he gets high quality hay and feed twice a day, groomed regularly, his feet have been trimmed, and above all, he is loved. He has responded to care and kindness to show he’s got great manners for grooming, tying and leading, and he enjoys stretching his legs when turned out. The best sound in the world is him nickering at mealtime. He’s starting to look like the incredibly handsome horse he’s always been! After a month of a doting foster, good food and supplements and the best care possible, Jesse shows he still is solid and still enjoys being ridden. Don't miss his video!
