My story

Hello! My name is Meeko! As you can see, I am a beautiful little lovebird. I am a bit territorial about my cage, but I love to get out and about every day. In fact, when I’m ready to come out, I’ll let you know by pushing against the door of my cage. I like to sit on your shoulder and preen your hair – I’ll make you look nice! I can say my name “Meeko!” and I like to make kissing noises and sometimes I blow raspberries while shaking my head really hard and it makes my people-friends laugh. My favorite toys are shredding toys and my swings. I am curious about everything. At my foster home, there is a dog with a big mouth – he barks a lot and runs all around – but I’m not scared of him. I used to like to watch him, but now I just ignore him – my foster family just makes sure I am always safe and protected around other animals. I used to eat just seeds, but my foster Mom is helping me to like new foods, like fresh fruits, vegetables, and pellets. She is also helping me learn to step up to new people, but I’m pretty shy about that. I want a forever home. Will you come and see me soon?
