Grizzly's Story...
1 Oct --Grizzly was found under a lady's porch along with two siblings who have already found homes. It is assumed the daddy is a papered catahoula. Grizzly earned her name when she ferociously growled at two 65 pound dogs and put up quite the tough girl act. She may only weigh a few pounds, but this puppy is fierce! She plays hard with the other dogs, but also has a soft side and loves to be held.

**update 11 Nov** Grizzly has moved from a foster home to our main shelter as she's now big enough that she cannot escape our kennels. Her name still suits her as she is quite dominant. She's all puppy...play hard then sleep hard. Please consider this cutie pie as a great addtion to your family. She would make a great indoor/outdoor dog and can definitely hold her own with other dogs. She's also just fine with cats although she does try to provoke them into playing with her. we expect she will mature to around 40 pounds. She is a climber so may need tall fencing to keep her in as she can easily get 3-4 feet up the chainlink. She is a very dominant dog so she cannot be paired with another dominant dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grizzly, a Union Springs Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Union Springs, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy from a breeder in Union Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
