Imogen's Story...
DOB: 8-19-12 - Hi, I'm Imogene! I am a beautiful tortie-dilute. I am very sweet, but I also can be a bit shy and easily startled. Years ago, my first family moved out of their house and left me behind. Fortunately, the kind neighbors fed me until I came to Second Hand Purrs. I need a loving home with no other animals or small children. I definitely need someone who understands cats, since I need love and patience from people to learn to trust humans again. I love to be brushed and toy mice are my favorite. I also like to be scratched behind my ears. I don't like vet visits, so a home vet would be best for me. Second Hand Purrs can recommend a home vet. Please come see me!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Imogen, a Milwaukee Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Milwaukee, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Milwaukee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milwaukee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milwaukee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milwaukee paves the way for another one to be saved.
