Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am a 7-year-old male Cocker Spaniel mix. I weigh about 25 pounds. I am the sweetest, cutest, and most cuddly guy ever! I love to get pets from my human friends, and I get along great with other doggies too! Somebody found me one day wandering around the streets of Los Angeles and brought me to a high-kill city animal shelter. Unfortunately, I happened to have glaucoma at the time, so one of my eyes was painful, bulging, and non-visual. Nobody wanted to adopt me because of my eye condition and, as the weeks went by, I was losing hope of ever finding a family to call my own. One fateful day, the staff at the pound told me that my time was finally up and I thought that would be the end for me. It was extremely scary and depressing. But, as luck would have it, a friendly shelter volunteer contacted CageFree and told them all about my plight, and CageFree agreed to step in and save my life immediately! They rescued me from the pound and took me to see their vet right away. The vet told me that one of my eyes would need to be removed due to glaucoma, but my other eye is just fine and doesn't bother me at all. I ended up having surgery to remove my eye on January 6th and now I'm healing quite nicely. I can still see perfectly with my good eye and my partial visual impairment doesn't phase me one bit. I get around great, just like any other dog. And I'm still just as cute as ever! My one eye gives me some character, I think. :)
Now that I've had my surgery and this whole ordeal is behind me, I'm ready to start my new life! I'm so eager to finally settle down in my furever home. I can't wait to snuggle with my new family and get the love and attention I always deserved!
