I am up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Dawn's Story...
We saved Dawn from a high kill shelter that was full and was getting ready to start putting dogs down for space. She came in as a stray so we have no history on her. She is a beautiful looking English Spaniel mix. She is only about a year old and about 40lbs full grown. She loves to play and can get a bit rough with smaller dogs, so would do better with her size. We plan on getting her fixed in the next week or 2 depending on when the vet has space. She will also be micro chipped at the same time as her spay. She is current on all her shots, heart worm negative and on monthly prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawn, a Salem Collie/English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/English Setter for sale in Salem, or seeking a Collie/English Setter dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/English Setter breeders who help with Collie/English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
