Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bo is a 4 year old (born Oct 2013) Potcake, and weighs about 65lbs. Potcakes are what the Bahamians call their stray dogs. In the United States, he would be considered a Boxer/Hound mix. Beau was brought to the United States via a rescue in Florida. From there he was adopted by a young family but then given to another family member because of a divorce. Beau spent a wonderful year and a half with them but got too big for them to handle, so he was surrendered to HART and adopted into a wonderful family.
Unfortunately, that family has to find a new home for him as Beau is not adjusting well with the new baby in the house. They recently found that he's not good around babies or small children. A home with older children and/or active adults would be best. Below is what his adoptive/foster mom has to say about him:
Bo loves to take walks and equally loves to just lounge around and nap with his humans. He's an alpha male, so would do well with a female or submissive male dog. We do have a smaller female here and they are buddies. Bo is crate trained and housebroken. He's a good boy he doesn't have to go in the crate as he is not destructive but sometimes he just prefers it. Bo loves older kids and gets along with them fantastically, We will provide the crate for his new home. He follows some commands too! Come, heal, Right here, sit, lay down and crate. Since he's from the Bahamas he loves to lay in the sun on hot summer days, but don't expect him to play in the snow! He's not a fan of the cold! 😁
We are really just devastated and TRULY appreciate your help finding him a home that loves him as much as we do. We really hope he gets kids with his new family, he loves them. He has been ours for just over 3 years and has been amazing.
