Beau's Story...
Beau is a smart two year old Potcake dog born in the Bahamas. A pot cake is what the Bahamians call their stray dogs. It would appear Beau is a boxer/hound mix. Beau was brought to the United States via a rescue in Florida. From there he was adopted by a young family but then given to another family member because of a divorce. Beau spent a wonderful year and a half with them but has gotten too big for them to handle. He is a healthy, fun, 75 pound energetic neutered boy who enjoys running and playing with toys. Beau wants to be the dominate male dog and would do best with an active person or family with older children. He gets along with other dogs as long as they do not try to dominate. He is eager to learn and knows the commands sit, stay, and wait. He has had professional training on basic commands as well as "place" and "down/stay". Beau is housebroken, crate trained and loves to lay at your feet or cuddle with his family at the end of a busy day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beau, a Cincinnati Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
