More Details About Elora
Status: Available For Adoption Children: 8 and over
Breed: Husky-x Grooming: Medium
Size: Large Energy: Medium-High
Age: 1 year Cat friendly: tbd
Gender: Female Dog friendly: tbd
Elora and her pup, Harvey, hail from the North. Thousands of dogs live a life of lonely, starved, hardship across Northern Canada. The abundance of unsterilized dogs roaming the land is producing an overwhelming number of puppies in a region that has limited access to vet care. The answer lies in spaying and neutering all dogs. Reducing the number of unwanted puppies, and the number of puppies who will grow up to reproduce again, is the only answer. Elora is a one-year-old Husky-x who has some catching up to do – first on the agenda would be to understand that humans mean her no harm. Elora is beginning to enjoy cuddling and scratches and gives little kisses in return. Obedience training would go a long way in helping her learn the art of walking on leash and would no doubt help in boosting her confidence. Elora would need an experienced guardian with lots of patience, time, and love to help her regain her self-assurance, one who will help her to become the devoted companion every dog wants to be. Please keep in mind that Huskies are a breed that sheds a lot; they should NEVER be shaved! Elora anxiously awaits her first experience at living in a home. Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Elora.
