Mumford's Story...
Meet Mumford who is a 1 year old, altered male red bloodhound. He is spunky and loves a lot of attention. He is great with kids 9 and up for outdoor play and just for indoor cuddling he is great with anyone including kitties. He will need a younger family or empty nesters with time for walking him. He has a habit of pulling on a leash because he often wishes to just follow his nose and gets distracted easily. With a firm consistent owner with lots of affection, or even search and rescue or a hunter willing to train him, he is eager to please! Due to an accident with spinal injury my husband is not longer able to give him the structure he needs. He is a big boy at about 110 lbs, and he likes to bay at other dogs to show show who is the big boy (and voice) in the neighborhood.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mumford, a St, Augustine Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in St, Augustine, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in St, Augustine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St, Augustine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St, Augustine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St, Augustine paves the way for another one to be saved.
