Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a happy and fun buddy? Rupert, affectionately called Rue, is a best buddy type of pup. He is right there by your side making sure all is well and ready to lend a paw when needed. Rue is always up for a cuddle or two or three. Rue may look a little shy in his photos but he is a fun and happy fellow. A real handsome lad! Rue is doing great with house training especially for his age. He rarely has an accident and knows that outside is where a pup should do his business. He loves to play with his toys and is quite the gentleman on a walk. He also likes to play with his foster brother and sister and is good around his toddler human foster brother. Rupert is learning to sit and perform other basic commands and doing well. Rupert is a smart little man! Rue does not live with a cat but has seen cats on walks and pays no attention so a home with cats would more than likely be fine. Rupert is very sweet and 200 percent adorable! He will make a wonderful addition to his forever family. Rupert is estimated to be about 6.5 months old and weighs about 30 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday February 7, 2015, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
