Axel's Story...
Just look at this handsome face, those adorable ears, those big puppy-dog eyes... how can you not fall in love? Meet Axel, one of the handsomest Pittie mixes you'll ever meet. He's very fun, loving, and playful, and he's only a year old. His adoption fee is currently discounted to just $75, and he already is/will be neutered, microchipped, current on shots, etc. Please consider rescuing this sweet boy soon - he's been stuck in a boring kennel at SCAC since early September, and he wants nothing more than to find his forever family. - (217) 535-3065

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Axel, a Springfield Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
