Bobby is a 10 year-old shihtzu/poodle mix who needs a new home due to the arrival of twins in his family. In his foster home, this sweetheart is a 13-pound soft, furry bundle of tail-wagging affection. He is a friendly, playful boy in excellent health. He gets very excited when his leash comes out, as he loves to be outside and go for walks, even in cold weather. Off-leash on the trail, he stays close to his family and in the house, he is very sociable, wanting to be close to his humans and being a constant companion to his foster mom.
Bobby is 100% house trained. Apparently in his former home he was not allowed to go on the furniture, since he will not jump onto the sofa to sit with his foster family unless invited. Although he loves all kinds of outside excursions, even just riding in the car while doing errands, he is relatively mellow indoors and is content to “chill” while his humans go about their daily activities.
In his foster home Bobby lives with two adults, a 13-year-old, and three small dogs and gets along great with all of them. (We don’t know how he would be with cats.) Little kids make him nervous so a home with older kids (12+) would be best. Bobby must be wondering what happened to his old family, but nevertheless has adjusted quickly to his new surroundings.You would never guess his age as he is in such good shape, and will make any individual, couple, or family a wonderful companion for several years to come.
Bobby is crate trained and does fine in his crate for short periods when his people are out, although it is not his favorite place to be. Bobby is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. He is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
